Depaz with even more matured flavor aged for 12 years in oak barrel. Soft barrel aroma is the characteristic with sensation of chocolate, date palm, rose and vanilla. A perfect luxury masterpiece that is elegant, smooth and full-flavored with long-lasting aftertaste.
The history goes as follows; after the eruption of Mt. Pelée volcano in Martinique the soil got covered with volcanic ash. Drainage of the ground surface improved and the soil became rich of mineral since high quality water turned to remain under the ground which led to cultivate rich sugarcane.
Volcanically delicious rum is produced since then and they are referred to as Grand Cru of agricole rum. Depaz rum has received high reputation for several hundreds of years and won many prizes after the eruption of Mt. Pelée in 1902; in 1922, 1927 and 1931 it was awarded medals in Marseilles.
In 2006 and 2007 Plantation won the prize in Paris competition.
