The distillery was founded in 1878 and has a long history of over 100 years. It is the most expensive rum of the Havana Club and it was made by Don José Navarro, maestro of the distillery respecting the traditional method of Cuban rum production.

The oldest and highest quality rum is selected from the cellar and blended. It is bottled in a beautiful Baccarat crystal decanter with a sign carved in the bottom. The unique rum comes with a Certificate of Manufacture in a handmade wooden gift box that can be used as for humidor. It is extremely rare rum that is difficult to purchase since the production is limited.

“Máximo” means “maximum” in Spanish. It is, indeed, the highest graded super premium rum.
