The manufacturer Industria Licorera Quezalteca was established in 1939 in Guatemala, in Central America.

Different from rum from other Spanish area, Malteco series is made from sugarcane juice instead of molasses (by-product of the refining of sugarcane).

After continuous distillation the rum is aged in oak casks stored in natural cave in the land of 2,500 meters above sea level. The rum is matured slowly with influence of cool weather. Flavor from cask is thoroughly given since air is light and air pressure is low in highland.

20 Años has wonderful sweetness with soft mouth feel and fragrance of chocolate and vanilla is felt. The level of perfection is excellent.
