Rum from French Martinique. The name Saint James is taken from French aristocracy and said to be produced in the beginning for exportation to England.
Martinique rum has strong peculiarity as islay malt whisky. The characteristic is the peculiarity and special aroma of sugar cane. Saint James Hors d’Age is aged for 6-10 years in oak and cognac barrels and has a sense of concentrated sugar cane. Sometimes roundish and simple touch going down the throat is felt that is refreshing.
